Journal History

Jurnal Permukiman (Print ISSN: 1907-4352 | Electronic ISSN: 2339-2975) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes scholarly articles in the field of settlement studies, encompassing urban and rural areas, building structures, as well as the supporting infrastructure and facilities essential for community life. The journal was first published in 1985 under the title Jurnal Penelitian Permukiman.

In 2006, the journal was renamed Jurnal Permukiman and issued three times a year in April, August, and November. Since 2015, the publication frequency has been adjusted to biannual, with editions released in May and November.

Since 2020, Jurnal Permukiman has been managed by the Directorate of Settlement and Housing Technical Development. In 2025, After the organizational renaming the management was renamed to the Directorate For Buildings And Environmental Sanitation Engineering Development.
