Complaints and Appeals Policy

Jurnal Permukiman is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical publication process. The journal provides a mechanism for authors, reviewers, and readers to submit complaints or appeals related to editorial decisions, publication processes, or ethical concerns.

1. Complaints

  • Complaints may relate to editorial processes, reviewer conduct, publication ethics, or other concerns regarding published articles.
  • Complaints should be submitted in writing to the editorial office with sufficient details and supporting evidence.
  • All complaints will be handled confidentially and investigated fairly by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.

2. Appeals

  • Authors may appeal editorial decisions if they believe the decision was based on errors, misunderstandings, or inappropriate evaluation.
  • Appeals must include a clear explanation and supporting arguments.
  • Appeals will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board or independent experts when necessary.
  • The decision after the appeal review will be final.

3. Ethical Handling

Jurnal Permukiman follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in handling complaints, appeals, and ethical concerns.
